As things stand there is minimal, if any real popular support for dismantling the two-party system. If, however, you ask average people on the street their opinions on the topics of the day you will find that in most cases people do not follow any particular party line.

What I'd like to see is a grass-roots program not for any particular third party, but for all third parties. As simply as actually getting to the root of people's opinions I imagine that we could convince people of their non-compliance with a party line. Follow-up with a quick education about the party they MAY actually agree with and on which issues they do and we've got a start.

While third-parties will not likely gain prominence anytime soon, it can't be denied that by garnering a larger portion of the popular vote in major elections the third-party ideals will begin to color the platforms of the major parties. Hopefully by these means we will see a real change in politics and a more realistic reflection of the common man in national politics.

I doubt it, but it would be nice.
