I was 10, at about 50 yards, but the deer was running accross a dirt road. I hit it in the neck with a bolt action Remington .243

I did do an NRA Hunter's Safety Course and did some shooting in the Cub Scouts/Boy Scouts, but not really for competition. I'm a hell of a shot though.

I ran cross country and track. We didn't have very many teams.

Dude, you're hard core. I'll get to do a lot if I get into Combat Control or Combat Rescue. Only a NAM? I got an Army Commendation Medal, a few Army Achievement Medals, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Overseas Duty Medal, National Defense, Army Service and Good Conduct.
