Looking over that, I talked more about my dad's service than mine. That just won't do!

I shot my first deer (an eight point muledeer)at age eight at over 250 yards with my older brothers .222 swift custom Sako.

I started the NRA indoor smallbore youth program when I was ten years old and competed in NRA match competition for six years.

I competed as a member of my high school's rifle team for two years - we practiced at Ft. Belvoir (army engineer training school).

After completing Basic I was chosen as Scout/Sniper candidate due to my exceptional weapons skills, passed Indoc after 11 weeks.

After completing Airborne, Pathfinder, Ranger, Combat Diver, Basic Reconnaissance Course, Mountain warfare & assault climber schools - I spent enough time in the Med aboard the USS Iwo Jima, the USS Ponce, and the USS La Salle to earn my Navy Achievement Medal, Marine Corps Expeditionary Medal and my Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.

I was formally attached to the 3rd Battalion, 23rd Marines - but I spent a lot of time serving with other branches and units. For instance while aboard the LaSalle I served with the DET 160 AVGP SEABAT team, otherwise known as the Nightstalkers. For smelly squids, they weren't a bad bunch.

"Man or woman, young or old, my sights are steady, and my trigger's cold. Walk or run, laugh or cry, you're in my A.O. - now you die!"

My personal fav - "You can run, but you'll only die tired."

And my hunting motto to this day - one shot, one kill.
