In "Search for Members of the 505th Parachute Infantry Regimental Combat Team of World War II 1942-1945" I could only find information for John E Atchley ASN 34505971.

He served with H Co. 505th PIR and recieved the Combat Infantry Badge for Normandy. Atchley was Killed in Action in the Ardennes which is consistant with your information.

I have a copy of the index of GO's for the 505th Somewhere and will have to locate it. He and/or James may be mentioned there as well.

I also suggest you try looking through the indices of GO's for the other organizations which were part of the TOO for the 82nd during WWII for James. It is likely these might be found in the library at the 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum on post or at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum which is also on post.

Archives of "the Paraglide" the division newspaper, might also prove helpful.

Other sources might be found in Bob Anzuoni and Phil Nordyke.

Hope this helps.
