Dancey smiles, her maternal instincts naturally taking over as she returns the nuzzle lovingly. It is when her gaze falls upon the foal that she appears to quirk slightly, her head rising and lowering uncertainly before gently coming to rest at the filly's level; her muzzle touching the filly's lightly in introduction. Her reactions? -first it is anger. How could they do this to her? Why did they not tell her they were mates before they had a child? The next reaction is directed against herself; she had left them, what did she expect? The last is love. She is a grandmother... a grandmother! Besides, she and Chant were together even younger- basically since they first met!

"She's beautiful, Sophie," she congratulates the mother first as the natural doer. "What a lovely name! Congratulations to both of you." Her eyes never leave the small face of the filly as she raises her head, a tender light taking residence in her lonely gaze.
