^The vixen snorted, orbs flicking over the terra. The fae was unsure of her purpose her. The fire in her orbs betrayed her bedraggled appearance. Yet, this inner spice was carefully concealed by the inslaved creature. She drug her hinds, more in boredom then exaustion. Soft plodding brought her to the rise of a knoll, the ivory fatale glanced about warily before collapsing beside a small tree. Grunting as her wieght hit the sloping ground at the trunks base. Her orbs grew heavy, she dozed, lobes drooping lazily. She had let her gaurd down, in the back of her mind she knew of nearby danger...but the need for rest overcame it.^

Frozen Dreams

the vain bronc stood apart and watched the mare, boredly, ignoring his broken leg. what was he to do with her? he didn't know. he'd never owned a slave before. from what he could figure through his deflated vanity he'd felt sorry for her at the time, with such a brutish looking stallion she'd been. and now she was here. what was he to do? auds swiveled around to the sounds of the others off in the distance. how threatened she must feel here. still there were those who would take advantage of a Light slave in their grasp there were many others who would happily see her freed. He as vain, he oculd put himself above others. but he wasn't cruel he owuldn't force those he considered beneath him to degradation. even his pedestal was vanisihing of late, as he came ot know more of the valley's inhabitants, came to realize - however grudgingly - that most were his equals. nd a few even his betters. an annoyed glance down at the broken cannon on that though before his deep pools setled back on the dozing mare. suddenly remembering how tired he was. the excitement of the fight had blinded him momentarily to the fact that he hadn't sept in at least a week. but fire still burned in his eyes and he figured he still had a few days before he dropped from exhaustion. besides he wouldn't let himself sleep with such a great handicapp as the balloon at the end of his leg.

^Rumpled hide was feathered by the breeze that washed over the terra. If it had been any other light, a harsh shudder would have resulted. Yet, the sphinx lay still as before, the breezes comforting. In this 'dead' state, she had a moment to reflect upon her current predicament. It was quite confusing here, in the least. There was the terror of expected abuse, accompanied by a sort of comfort brought on by the unthreatening treatment she had recieved. It seemed that there was no want of slavery here-in. Yet what was she to do with herself then? If she ran away, who would stop her? The light side was so near...but so foriegn. She had adopted a fear of her own kind, from where it stemmed, she did not know. THe flickering though of becoming neautral came.No. Neautrals were cowards. Jinrai was no coward, she couldn't have been to survive all this. Then there was this stallion, who had taken her on. He was different then those who came before him, but how? She knew something didn't add up...but what? She drifted further, far enough for dreams to overtake her. Nightmares they were to the fae...nightmares...^

^*Jin...Jin...* The voice was close...yet so far away. Her legs were stuck, but she was running. There. A mare. Silver colored. The calling continued from all around. The greenery, lit brighter by the sun...The cold sun. The mare stood still in front of her. She came not closer, nor further away. *Jin...Jin...*^

^The dreams raged on, Jinrai trembled. Shivering, though nothing was cold.^

Frozen Dreams

A frown transformed his eloquent features, as he watched her slumber. subconsciously he took a step forward, and then another, curiosity overtaking him.
As he neared, auds perked intently and eyes fixed on the trembling figure, he stepped between her and the breeze, thinking perhaps it was the source of her discomfort. Whic brought a million thoughts dancing around his psyche. she's a slave, dolt. you don't need to comfort her. was one. another being why are you comforting her in the first place. what in the world is come over you Frozen Dreams. where's your pride? Gone. his arrogance had been dealt a cripplin wound with the last fight he partook in. nevertheless he stepped to one side, inspecting the other's troubled countenance. he couldn't for the life of him think what was the matter. the moment of insight he'd had before had fizzled away. in reality he knew nothing of emotion. and was totally and completely clueless in face of this latest event.

^The dream ended as promptly as it came. It ended with a soothing blackness that shook the fae with a jolt, yet then she lay still. She was vaguely aware of the stallion. Though her lobes flicked not, nor did her eyelids flutter in the least. Her unconscious state forced her to ignore the idea. The vixen hated to sleep; she hated the dreams that haunted her. Almost all of them included the silver mare, which called to her, but never did come close. She often fought against the urge to sleep, which contributed to her disheveled appearance. She involuntarily remembered the last time she had slept. Only to find herself drifting into the memory of Shamus’ hard punishments, that often left her unconscious. There was no fear in those memories, as there were in the nightmares. The mare stirred slightly, yet, did not wake, too exhausted to wake fully. The fae snorted lightly, barely awake…Barely asleep. ^
