Subject: I hope she's not Wrongda again

According to chat with Kristin tonight...our fave ditsy blonde vampire is about to be a recurring star on Angel!!!

It's cheaper than the big stars and it's good for comic relief on what's looking set to be an angsty season.

OMG that is so cool! think about it...

There's all the humour of Harmony/Spike, the clash of the bitches Lorne/Harmony and just a splash of season 1 Cordelia!!

I knew they'd get less *huge* Buffy players recurring and she hasn't appeared in Buffy since mid-season 5 in early 2001 so it's not like we've just had a large dose of her!

I think her and Andrew together would be so funny as Spike so serious and they'd be fighting for his attention...but I couldn't handle 3 blondes it'd be like Hollyoaks (British Soap which only has 3 female brunettes out of a cast of 30-40 people)

that Spike shanshu and then there woud be a ex-Demon, Comic relief, a vampire and Gwen. Spike if he shanshus might change his hair back to brunettey.What are we missing.. a watcher and a slayer(Gwen could be Willow's role)

I don't want to see a :
1) revisit to the bad boyfriend scenario-- he was pretty awful to her

2) make them a couple and the butt of all jokes

3) have him whine about how horrible he was and try to make it up to her....

I just see the potential to make Harm and Spike high camp... and for me that negates the journey he has been on. I want Spike to have some snark, but not be the buffoon and comic relief of S4.

Perhaps he can be out and about when she drops by...

I don't want them a couple and I don't want mopey Spike again.But I think if Andrew was in it we could see some good scenes of Spike. I like it when Andrew and Spike are together. We could switch it so Andrew and Harmony get together and then Spike is safe.We could call it Handrew or Hardrew

I think it'll just be humour she'll be petty towards him and he'll say "bloody hell" alot at the things she does but I don't think it'll be a deal any bigger than Anya making a few digs at Xander every now and then

though the past 2 seasons have gotten REAL close....

I just worry that in an effort to keep their vision of "Angel" fans happy they will destroy the Spike character-- much as Fury claims they did to Faith in BtVS.

Doesn't mean I want him to take over-- just that I want to see character consistency and forward development and growth... I fear they will go for the cheap smutty joke...

He said in an interview that they tore her down [made her less confident, more slutty] in order to build up Buffy....

and he said slutty as if it was a bad thing... *shrugs shoulders*

Nothing wrong with being a slut if you do it right.
But yeah, they really did tear her to pieces to make Buffy look better.

T'm excited and if true it is one more reason to try to get into Angel next season. Harmony was always a delight and in my humble opinion was the best girlriend Spike ever had. Oh she is a silly bint most of the time and she must be rather grating on the old nerves on a day to day basis. And he was rather bitterly abusive to her much of the time. But she really had her blondy-bear's number for a while. He gets angry; she laughs and is turned on. He tells her to bite her tongue, she says 'bite it for me'. I realize it;s not a forever thing, eternal love soulmates kind of stuff but Spike will be in need of an uncomplicated good time next year and Harmony is just the one to give it to him.
