OK.... most of the swelling/edema in the left rear leg is gone. The upper leg and mid leg have pretty much returned to normal size, the paw is still a bit large but is getting better every day.

He is able to stand and hold himself up when at the food bowl and water bowl (we have them elevated 10"). When he tries to walk in the house, he makes it 2 or 3 steps then the back legs just fall out from under him... but it seems to be related to that still swollen foot which he favors... and the other leg just can't support the whole rear end, so down he goes. With the use of the slings, I walk him around the yard every evening about 15 minutes. Like I said, if we can get him back to his previous partial ambulatory self, then we can go from there.
