have a program to spay/neuter feral cats? Maybe a county agency or some other animal facility could help. Around here, if you trap them, bring them in, they will spay/neuter for a very minimal fee.
I'll bet your own vet would give you a "deal" if he understood the situation.
You'd still have a porch full of cats......but at least they wouldn't be re-producing.
So.........you say..........you're not a "cat person"?
