I am hoping only good thoughts for Nicholas...........it's criminal what has happened to him.
Bunker was very, very emaciated when he came to us - near death, could not stand. But I believe it happened quickly to him, he escaped, his family didn't go looking for him, he ate something that totally blocked his digestive tract. Once he was treated - he bounced back fairly quickly.
Nicholas, it would appear has been treated very badly for a long period of time.......starvation and neglect and no one caring about his well-being.
I expect him to bloom.
(Can't tell you how I agonized over wanting to bring him here and heal him - but the foster Mom that stepped up will take wonderful care of him.)
