Subject: Help me kill a plot bunny.

I have a plot bunny I'm chasing down. If I succeed in killing it, it will be my first actual nonparody fanfic.

I understand others may have a more pacifistic approach to plot bunnies, but I believe that their cuteness is deceptive and the way to really nail down a story is to blast the plot bunny with a 12 gauge. ;-)

Anyways, I have a question for LotR fans--according to RotK, Mordor got its food from vast slave-farmed fields in the southeast. I assume they were in the plain of Nurn. The question is where does this slave labor come from? Were they humans captured in war and bred for generations? Did they have any Haradrim? Did they perhaps buy slaves from the Haradrim? Any input would be appreciated.
