Subject: OOCness in the Harry Potter fandom.

Is it my imagination, or do the characters in HP fics seem horrendously OOC for the most part? This seems to be occuring in almost every ship, but it's even more pronounced in Harry/Draco slash.

I love all things HP, but what are the ficcers DOING to the characters?
