Subject: Priorities When Looking for a New Home

Since there are three separate threads that deal with this issue, and loads of subthreads in each, I figured it's best to make a separate thread to deal only with the critical factors when selecting a new home.

In order of priority:

1. Content restrictions: must be as unrestricted as possible (i.e., XXX or better). At the very least, must support links to such content.

2. TOS/Agreement:
2a. Changes: must not be able to change the contract arbitrarily.
2b. Denial of Service: must not be able to deny service arbitrarily.

3. User restrictions: must not require age-verification. Simple disclaimers (i.e., "over-the-age-of-consent requirement" and "not-responsible") should be all that's necessary.

4. Space and bandwidth allowance: must be of a reasonable amount to accomodate GAFF's high traffic.

Anyone have anything to add, modify, or delete from this list?

Again, these factors are critical when determining a new home that will be paid for. Obviously there will be no guarantee of any of these, especially if looking for a free home, but -- free or paid for -- I feel that these are still the most important factors listed in their order of importance.
