Personally, my favourite storyline in the series was when everyone was trying to get the keys to hell from him... from Lucifer explaining his revenge to the arrival of the various delegates, Caine and his 'magic tricks' to the angels receiving the keys... fun, in a disturbing way.

Oh, and if you want to see more of Daniel/Dream, look to issues of the now defunct Vertigo comic, [The Dreaming]. The series focused more on the rest of the cast as opposed to the new Dream, but he did show up, especially towards the end. The Goldie arc in particular was infinitely amusing.
