I picked up the very first issue waaaay back when it came out, and knew at once I was on to something very, very special. I still have two drawers stuffed with my old Sandman and Hellblazer comics.

It's cliched to say something is a "revolution" in its genre, but you can honestly say that for Sandman -- and it's nothing more than the truth. It changed the face of the comic book industrys. And so much modern darkfic of all sorts has its original roots and inspiration in Sandman, it's just unbelievable.

It's good to see others still discovering it.
