"Easy prey Jada" is one of the first lines from the fic (think "Easy prey" as the adjective). A SPARC is a type of computer (used in the libraries and CS labs here), runs a variant of UNIX and in our case, an extremely old version of Netscape. Nothing looks the way it should, tables, pictures, form elements, etc. Hence why I prefer the Publabs or the Eng labs.
