Subject: Maybe we all can rethink things we have said???
In reply to: tabourff 's message, "Drivers can't compete and win at Camden" on 18:43:24 10/12/04 Tue

First off I would like to say I just started racing this year. I don't know what has happened in the past with tracks, car counts and alleged dumb a_ _ promoter. In reading the replies to the first massage about what Dan has "said." It would be interesting to know the context of the alleged statements. When I first started this year Dan told me if you want to go fast watch Bob Bourff. At several points I watched Bob run at Camden. Make no mistake about it Bob Bourff is a master at the 600 game. I will never speak for an other person but, the last time I was at Camden I was talking with Dan about going to Tulsa. Bob came up and said he was planing on going. When Bob went on about his business Dan said "don't be shocked if you see him win. He is one of the best 600 driver in the country night in and night out." Bob has been very helpful to me whenever I ask him anything. Bobs crew has helped me as well. Now as for the no one came because Bob wins all the time. That's not true he wins a lot but he can be beat. The last two times at Camden I won the dash and the heat races. Bob won both features I got second and Durr got second. Granted it was just heats and dashes but I felt like a king. I look at Bourff, Durr, Monroe, Ross in the stock class and see some very talented drivers just to name a few. If you beat any of them you have earned it. In closing I just want to say I have had fun at all six tracks I have raced this year. I hope that all the tracks stay healthy and profitable for the promoters. I also hope that the "Bob Bourffs" of the world keep rasing the bar so we all have to get better. If we can't get to that level lets give respect not snide comments. Happy off season.
