  OUTLAW MODIFIED WINGED MIDGETS RETURN TO FT. WAYNE RUMBLE
  
  ROSSBURG, OH (August 22) -- Tony Barhorst, president of Classic Motorsports, has announced that the 600cc Outlaw Modified Winged Midgets will return as part of the Ninth Annual Rumble in Fort Wayne, Dec. 29 and 30, 2006. They will join the popular multi-division program which will include the USAC (United States Auto Club) National Midgets, go-karts and quarter midgets.
  
  “We had a car count of around twenty five 600cc Midgets last year”, said Barhorst. “The 600s put on some fantastic shows and have created some memorable finishes over the years.
  
  Barhorst has added money to this year‘s 600cc Midget purse, paying at least $150 to start. In addition, $40 tow money will be paid each night to those not transferring to one of the 18 starting spots in the 600 cc feature.
  
  In a new twist, drivers can post $25 on Friday, Dec. 29 to participate in Hero and Hot Dog Qualifying for the 600s that evening. Barhorst’s Classic Motorsports starts that purse at $200. Money posted by drivers will be added to that pot with the fastest qualifier earning 75 percent and the second quickest 25 percent.
  
  “Who’s the hot dog qualifier in the 600s? I guess we’ll find out on Dec. 29,” said Barhorst.
  
  The same rules as used in previous years will be applied to this year’s edition, with the program to be officiated by Larry Boos, Director of Operations at Eldora Speedway. There is no membership or association fee. A full race program of heat races and consolation races will be conducted each day/night, with 50 lap main events headlining the 600cc Midget action.
  
  Pit doors open for an early load in from 4 p.m to 9 p.m. Thursday, December 28. An optional practice will take place that day from 7 to 9 p.m. Gates open at 7:30 a.m. on Friday (Dec. 29) and 8 a.m. on Saturday (Dec. 30), while the spectator gates open at noon each day. The preliminary events for all divisions, with the exception of the USAC National Midgets, will be completed in the morning and afternoon, with all the feature events and full USAC program staged starting at 7 p.m..

  Dwayne...2 days with a perfect race track each night. I was speechless on Sunday. That was the first Sat/Sun weekend race where we had a multi-groove racetrack for the 2nd day. It was a blast bein able to run wheel to wheel on a very fast, very racey racetrack...That was awesome. Keep up the excellent work guys.

  I really would not understand why we would add Sunday races, and not put points to them. I would think that that would be the whole point, not so much for the track but, national points.
  Like they put out earlier, sunday races start at 1:pm with no qualifing. It shouldn't take too long.

  This car has been at this track the past few weeks being driven by Brian Demland. I will entertain any offers on this car.
  
  We have a 03 Bailey with coil over in front, bars in rear. This car is in like new condition. Comes with 02 R-6 with Seros Carbs. Runs on alcohol. Motor was freshened 2 races ago. We have both birdcages from bailey. All updates have been done. We have 4 spare shocks, 4 bars, 9 wheels and tires, spare front axle complete, complete set of nerf bars, 2 wings, gears front and rear, 2 sets of complete body panels one in alum and 1 in stainless steel for light weight Jr driver. Car was ran by my son at Stateline in res. class. The car has everything top notch and in great condition. I have pics if anyone is intrested.   Have many spares including 1 wing, 2 ready to go clutches, 2 jackshafts, 3 replacement belts for jackshaft, spare motor mount, 2 complete sets of heims and rods for entire car, front axle slighty bent but has good spindles and hubs, complete rear axle with all spacers, brake hub, sprocket hub, bearing, bird cages, wheel hubs and one spare axle with spacers only. Also have several spare K&N filters with outerwears, 3 spare gas carbs one is a national level carb, spare digitron tach( might need reapired or could have been the leads).   This is from the NMMA message board.
  
  ****These are high lights only not the official rules.****
  
  1. The Region Tech persons will be required to attend the spring meeting and will be taught to tech the A, NW & R classes. there will be a set of instruction made and sent to each track. The Region tech man will then teach any other tech men in his Region.
  
  2.40 durometer tires are eliminated for 2007.
  
  3.Rear tire width can not exceed 63" outside to outside.
  
  4.The NMMA will again offer Insurance for local sportman classes. There will be no National or Region Points.
  
  5. Multi Wing Max. 48" X 48" center board, side boards can not extend outside the outer edge of rear tires. The wing can not extend back of the back edge of the rear tires or in front of the back edge of the front tires, the front can not be more 4" below the top of the roll cage.
  
  6. There will be NO nose wings on the A & R classes in 2007.

  I understand keeping the website up to date can be time consuming and hard to do. I would like to offer my services to the MiCRO and volunteer to keep the points up to date and current. At this time I currently keep two racing websites up to date and current based on the last weekends racing results. I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to see the track points kept current based on the last weeks results. Not trying to offend anyone, just trying to offer help to go along with my complaint.

  i have posted before about the car count, like i said before im have been a loyal fan to the speedway. here in the past few weeks i have noticed drivers driving more aggresive. in the last few weeks is like there race for millions of dollers. last i was told the winner of the feature race dont even make enought to cover a set of tires.now if im wrong i need to get into a car hell i can drive stupied.how much fun is it to replace a wing and other parts???i understand rubbing is racing but what i saw tonight was nuts. I hope the kid that was taken to the hospital is ok boy the 12 car busted him all the way around the track it was only time before something happen. wow. i normally dont speak out on things like this but as a fan i love racing i dont like durbys. sorry if this upsets anyone but u guys were nuts tonight..

  We have a 03 Bailey with coil over in front, bars in rear. This car is in like new condition. Comes with 02 R-6 with Seros Carbs. Runs on alcohol. Motor was freshened 2 races ago. We have both birdcages from bailey. All updates have been done. We have 4 spare shocks, 4 bars, 9 wheels and tires, spare front axle complete, complete set of nerf bars, 2 wings, gears front and rear, 2 sets of complete body panels one in alum and 1 in stainless steel for light weight Jr driver. Car was ran by my son at Stateline in res. class. The car has everything top notch and in great condition. I have pics if anyone is intrested.   I want to congratulate Aaron McClure on his feature win at Nebraska for the Westerns race. I was very happy to finish in second place behind Aaron. He was fast! Also Richard, Mike and Mark did a good job in restrictor to. We almost got 1,2,3 but Richard broke.

  So what kind of car count did you have last night? We went to Logan b/c of all the inconsistancy at Miami Co. We found the track in Logan to be in a lot better shape. They took the time to work the track and gave us more than just a follow the leader track. I noticed a lot of open cars were at Logan last night that usually run Miami Co and I just wanted to see what kind of cars actually were there. I know Culp and Hughes were there, but who else? I sure hope they can get the track in beter condition then what it has been or there going to start loosing more and more cars....

  I record our local and region points. Connie puts them on the track website the following week. When we don't race, I don't see Connie, so she can't post them on the track's site. My software is not compatible with hers and there is no way for me to post them on the website. Connie types them onto the site just as soon as she gets them.
  
  I electronically send our points to nationals within two days of every race. The national points should always include our local points. If you have specific questions about a certain class or driver, I can try to email the list to you as an attachment, and see if your equipment/software is more compatible with mine than Connie's is.
  
  Please feel free to email me with points questions and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I rarely check this site, but usually check my email at least twice a week. Thanks, Cindy Kimmel, Region 1 Secretary

  The National Race is fast approaching and we are planning a big 50th birthday party. The Banquet is on Wednesday night after practice. We need for people to get signed up so we can give the caters a estimated number. There will be alot of old picture, Larry Rice will be a guest speaker, cars on display and alot of old timers to visit with. I know it seems early but when you say 9 weeks then it sounds pretty quick. Hope you will all plan to attend. This is not for officers it is for everyone. • why / what happen -- a race fan, 22:31:28 05/29/06 Mon
  This is alright i didnt know the fairgrounds had a web site for the racers but,First and formost I would like to think eveyone who put the show and all the drivers who do show up. I have been comeing to the track to watch racing for about 6 years and I would like to know what happen to the car count. I can recall when there were 75 to 80 cars or more on a good week and now im lucky to see 50 cars. Dont get me wrong there are great drivers and good races but, I would like to see the fight in a B main. and A full a main. I know your only 1 or 2 cars off but a full field is better. That just what I think but who knows ..........O by the way good job little guys and gal I loved watching the 8 little big cars (100)

  connie, you said at the track tonight that vanilla helped like wonders for sunburn. I was curious if it was the actual vanilla extract or if the vanilla flavor would work too. And do you just use like a cotton ball and pat it on like you would any liquid medicine? Or do you need to mix it with something. I figured I would ask here since I am positive I am not the only one that got severly burnt this weekend. Hope it helps others out too. Also.. Great job to all of the track workers. You guys did great this weekend considering how hot it was and hot miserable you all must have been.

  You must be a NMMA member to run, temps are not allowed at Champ Races. Drivers Pit fee will be $25, all other pit passes $20. Hot laps at4:oopm Eastern Time, all cars must be inspected before they go on track. Temps are allowed on the weekly show on Saturday, cost is $38 plus $18 pit pass. Thanks Dwayne

  What is the entry fee for the state race and do you have to have a NMMA membership to run in it. Does a temp pass allow you to run in the state race. What time is everything starting? Any help on the questions is appreciated.

  I and my father would like to thank everyone that helped us get the car back together and on the track for the feature. It means alot to know we have friends who are willing to loan parts, and help get it back together. Way to go Sam Kimmel & Jacob Kincaid on the feature wins! Richard & Dwayne, Awesome track, its nice to have a track to race at that is well run. Nice track.
