Jim, I agree what you say, regarding having a drink to take out on exersise with you was the norm. Business with pleasure is the word. It is funny when you think that we used to put up marquees for the higher echelon to have a meal and drink in the field, I think that everyone was happy then, a happy medium was struck and it kept everyone happy. I am not saying that it would be acceptable on tours of duty.
