Dave, I think that I owe you and apology, Sorry mate, as what I wrote could have been misconstrue to a point. Just say that I was having a bad hair day! What I was on about happened many years after leaving 49 Battery upon returning to Lippstadt from JLRRA. They do say that you should never go back but move on and I certainly learn't that lesson in spades!..You have more than a valid point in what you say in regards the modern Army and the methods that it has had to adapt, but at what cost! The damage inflicted to discipline and moral within the ranks has serverly affected the foundations in what we believed in and still do to a degree. The attitudes concerning political correctness and compensation culture that exists is a damming inditement to those that now serve in our Armed Forces due to government intervention, and constraints that has been put upon those who defend this country!....
