Doug, I've had the parts since late fall. Just haven't had a chance to get to it and was a little shocked how cramped it is in there.

In a past life I was mechanic at a Kawasaki dealership, so I have no doubts I'll get the job done. Just gotta budget more than an hour as I don't know how much stuff I'll have to take off.

My reason for changing the T-stat is I've noticed in the last year, it gets hot quickly at long stop lights or traffic and once I get riding again, seams to take forever to cool down. Therefore me thinks the T-stat is not fully opening or stuck. Just went through the same thing with my truck, but it stuck open causing the engine to run cool. Which then caused some of the emmissions circuits to not function and the check engine light came on.
