Subject: Ignition switch gremlins.

I have an 88 voyager. recently noticed it will die. just dead, usually starts right back up but now does not always. You turn the key no lights no power. Yes battery is new and yes it has power to other circuits (extra lights) I checked the kill switch and it is working properly (took it apart cleaned it and put back together) Yes I checked fuses all are good. this is not a constant problem but a pain in the ass as it wont start.. again no lights no power anywhere thru the ignition switch. And then after fooling with it you turn the key and It comes on??? Is this just that obvious that it is the ignition switch? or are there other gremlins in there? OH and any tips on how to get the switch out?
