Subject: Will those two hurry up already!
In reply to: Ravin 's message, "More investigating" on 10:15:04 03/25/02 Mon

Isobel frowned at the Sheikh's impatience but almost laughed aloud when the foolish Jann grunted in an ogrish manner. She whispered to Ravin, "I believe he simply enjoys the grunting," as they followed the Jann from the room.

As they passed Jade and Erlic it was obvious that they were having some sort of intense discussion. Ravin quickly told them that the party was heading down the main passageway and to join them when they got the chance. Isobel looked back over her shoulder in time to see Erlic hand his gems to Jade. As if the puta didn't have enough wealth with the box she had practically stolen from under Isobel's nose! Well, to be fair Isobel wouldn't have found the box with the drawer trapped anyway... and Jade had probably saved her from something nasty. But it was irritating nevertheless.

She and Ravin hurried after the Jann, with Ravin calling out to them to stop so he could make sure the path was safe from traps. Soon they found themselves in another large room. This one was filled with boxes and crates and barrels. Isobel peeked into a few, but saw only supplies. She took some of the magically preserved fruits and meats and stuffed them into her pack. One never knew when one might need some emergency supplies, after all.

Ravin made his way over to where Isobel and Valhorek stood. "I found fresh human sized boot prints in the dirt," he told them. "And in case you didn't notice, the room is free of cobwebs. I think someone is living down in these catacombs."

Isobel nodded. "Si... I have noticed this." She saw Valhorek nod as well.

"I know that necromancers can raise the dead and then control them," Ravin said, a note of concern in his voice, "But have either of you ever heard of a mage trying to control an army made out of wooden dolls?"

Isobel's eyes immediately darted to the wooden door. "I have never heard of this, Seņor Ravin. But it would make sense, would it not? We have seen these wooden dolls in action. Obviously someone must have cast a spell on them... they could not naturally move on their own. They must be under someone's control."

They made their way to the wooden door. Isobel's pulse pounded as Ravin began to examine it for traps. "Should we not wait for Erlic and Jade?" Isobel said. "If the puppet master is behind the door, we may need all the hands we can muster. And I hope Jade can cast one of her spells to rid us of the wooden fiends quickly."

Strangely, she noticed that her sword seemed to be growing warmer, as if to warn her of something. "I do not like this... I hope we find the Sheikh's damned throne soon."
