Subject: Spelling can be dangerous business
In reply to: Ravin 's message, "Name practice" on 14:09:03 04/08/02 Mon

Isobel shivered slightly as Ravin traced the letters of his name across her breast with the feather. "Of course no one can see it, but you and I will know it's there," he said. She smiled and lifted her dark eyes to meet his. "You have marked me as your own, Ravin. This could have dangerous consequences."

He then sat on her legs tracing letters over her torso, causing her to shiver yet again as her nipples naturally responded to the sensations by rising obligingly.

"Have you even thought about the possibility of getting married someday and settling down to raise a tribe of children?" Ravin asked, sending sudden jolts of alarm through her. But no... he was merely making conversation, not proposing that she suddenly settle down and whelp dozens of babies. "That used to be a dream of mine. It still is I guess, but the urgency I once had for the dream to coem true isn't as strong as it was. Maybe I'm learning to have more patience."

"I think one day I would enjoy having a husband and children. Right now I do not believe I have the patience for children, and am not entirely certain about the husband either." She grinned hoping he would realize she was joking about the husband. While she was not yet ready to marry, she was not completely against it either. "If the right man were to ask me, I would probably say yes," she told him. "But... I would want to be wooed and chased and made exquisite love to and practically worshipped first." She laughed.

Isobel smiled up at him, taking the quill as he offered it to her and slid atop his thighs as he rolled onto his back. "I'd like to know how to spell your name, Isobel," he said. "Mark me with it like I've marked you with mine so I'll have you close to me at all times."

His words caused her heart to melt, a sweet aching in her chest as she looked at him. "Well," she said softly. "It starts with an 'I' like this..." and she proceeded to spell her name across his chest right over his heart. "Now you are doomed. I have claimed you, my love." She didn't even realize she had said it. It simply slipped from her lips naturally in the afterglow of their lovemaking and the romance of their playing.

She leaned over and kissed him softly, then handed the quill back to him. "Now it is your turn. Can you spell my name?"
