Ravin nodded when Isobel said that she thought the branches of midnight hue might grow in an underground cavern. Anything that might have grown above ground once was now dead due to the salt that mixed in with the dirt and the hot sun that beat down unmercifully throughout the day.

He listened to the exchange between Argus and Tristan while washing down the remainder of his meal with hot java. Shortly after Marz departed with his entourage, the rest of the group followed Erlic, who led them into what remained of an old supply store. Ravin studied the drawing the older thief found, committing it to memory for possible future use.

Using the light generated by a glow rod, Ravin moved about the room. He searched a number of crates and kept his eyes open for any hidden trap doors that might lead underground. In one of the crates, the thief found a number of items that he thought might be useful. He shoved a lightweight rope into his backpack along with some spools of thread and sewing needles. After wrapping a small grappling hook in some thick cloth, he placed it inside his pack as well.

Finding nothing else of interest in the particular crate, he glanced at the Jann that were with them. They didn't seem too interested in exploring the ruins now that their throne had been found. At least they stuck around, and could provide them with aid in combat should the need arise. Ravin moved up alongside of Isobel and slipped an arm around her waist. "Did you find anything of interest?" he asked.
