While Erlic laid out his plan, Ravin pulled two oil flasks from his pack, handing them to Jeremy. "Can you and Saras take care of that room full of breeding spiders?" The otherworldly youth nodded eagerly before grabbing the genie's arm and dragging him back down the tunnel.

Ravin turned back to the matter at hand, readying his throwing knives as Erlic aimed his unusual bow at a tall stalagmite. As it was in the process of toppling onto a building, Ravin sent his blades into the throats of the two were-spiders he saw step out from behind one of the stalagmites only moments before. Two more knifes were in his hands when dozens of were-spiders came pouring out from the small wooden structures, attracted by the noisy demolition of one of their buildings.

The thief ended the lives of another pair of the creatures instantly. Others fell to their deaths thanks to the excellent marksmanship of those in the group using bows. Thankfully, Ravin didn't feel any of the normal agony that usually overcame him when a human was killed in his presence.

He retrieved his two remaining throwing knifes from sheathes strapped to his thighs and let them fly. Again the blades hit there marks with deadly accuracy, eliminating another pair of were-spiders before Tristan sprung into action. The thief watched in awe as dragon fire consumed a large group of spiders then he withdrew his sword and prepared for hand-to-hand combat with the creatures that had escaped the flames.

Marz shifted from one foot to the other, eagerly anticipating the upcoming battle with the were-spiders. It was hard to restrain himself from rushing forward to attack anything in sight since that was how he normally reacted to threats. He fidgeted while listening to Erlic state his plan, mentally willing the man to hurry so they could get things under way already.

He gave Tristan a smile of encouragement when Erlic asked him to fry as many of the spiders as possible. Watching his lover in action while in dragon form was definitely a turn on! His gaze shifted to Erlic when his sensai readied his special bow. The fun was about to begin!

Marz tightened his grip on his sword and moved closer to Corum. "It's almost clobbering time, buddy," he whispered, drawing a grin from his best friend. The ex-gang leader could barely contain himself when were-spiders rushed out of the buildings after the stalagmite crashed into one. Marz clenched and unclenched his left hand as he waited for their archers and Tristan to eliminate as many foes as possible before close combat could be initiated.

A proud smile caressed his lips when he saw a small group of spiders engulfed by dragon fire. The smile vanished immediately when another group of were-creatures rushed to attack the dragon that now stood within their midst. "Come on," he said, pulling Corum along with him.

Together they ducked the arrows being discharged by both friend and foe. As soon as Marz reached Tristan, he plunged his sword into the heart of a spider man that was about to sink his blade into the dragon's leg. Jumping over the dead body of the creature, he engaged another, sparks flying as their swords met.

The were-spider danced around him easily, propelled by its eight legs. Marz exposed his left side, letting the creature think it had an opening for a killing blow. As it thrust its blade, the ex-gang leader dropped into a roll, slicing through two of the spider's legs before he jumped to his feet. The painful howl that sounded from the creature was music to Marz's ears. Before the monster could get its bearings on its remaining legs, the dark eyed youth swung his sword, decapitating it.

Immediately, Marz turned to combat another foe, hissing when an arrow went through his left shoulder right below the collarbone. "TAKE OUT THEIR ARCHERS!" he shouted to his companions before turning his attention to the were-spider that was trying to impale him on its sword.

As soon as Ravin saw arrows come flying toward them, he realized the danger they were in. He cursed himself for not thinking that the creatures might know how to employ bows. The thief bent low then went into a run, using nearby stalagmites as shields while making his way to an archer hidden behind one of the buildings.

Like a panther, Ravin leapt from stalagmite to stalagmite, arriving at the front of the building without getting injured. He sheathed his sword then climbed up to the roof using buckles in the wood for foot and hand holds. Keeping low, he scurried across the flat roof, dropping down onto the were-spider a moment later. Being on the thing was similar to sitting on a horse. The manspider dropped its bow and bucked its body up, but Ravin held on by grabbing a handful of the creature's hair. His free hand pulled a straight razor from a small sheath sewed into his boot. Quickly, he drew the sharp blade across the were-spider's throat. The thing bucked a few more times then collapsed, a pool of blood forming around its lifeless body.

The thief slid down to the ground and grabbed the creature's bow and quiver of arrows. A moment later he snuck up behind another spider archer and shot an arrow through the back of its skull. He glanced at Sheikh Daraba and his Jann companions who were engaged in combat with another small group of spiders, and aided them by toppling one of their foes by firing another arrow into the spider's throat.

It didn't take long for Jeremy and Saras to set the breeding room ablaze. The oil was housed in glass flask-like containers that broke instantly when Jeremy threw then against the floor. Before the spiders could react to the oil that splashed out, he tossed in the torch, which ignited the oil. Saras coaxed the flames to grow larger and soon smoke and the stench of burning spiders filled the tunnel they were in. "Let's go back and help the others now," the otherworldly youth said.

Together they ran down the passageway, reaching the small village of were-spiders a moment later. Jeremy dug into his pack, pulling out a few bricks of firecrackers. Saras produced a small flame from his fingertip to light the wicks like Jeremy instructed him to do. The otherworldly youth grinned as he began tossing firecrackers at the any spiders that dared to get too close to them. He managed to set quite a few of the creature's hairy legs on fire, making them stumble and easier for his companions to kill.
