“You really know how to get a girl’s attention,” Jade had stated with an inviting smile, while her arms encircled him, and her hands sliding up his back to rest on his shoulder blades. He had to admit he relished the feeling he had for the woman, and wondered even more about her.

He was glad she hadn’t been injured, and wondered why anyone would have bothered to trap such an abode. It was quite obvious that jade had shared the same thought when he dragged her down to the ground, where they now remained motionless. He was never one to make the first move, and almost decided to disengage himself from her arms, but quickly decided against it. It was almost as if she had a certain charm within her deep colored eyes that seem to captivate him. It was also the manner of her speech that was quite inviting, never stating anything for fact, but never dismissing it either.

She was quite different in several ways, and that amused him as well as captivated him. The color of her eyes enthralled him, and almost felt like he could lose himself within those depths, yet he realized she posed no threat to him for the moment. They had seemed to work well as a team, despite the shortness of the time period involved.

Erlic simply smiled back at the woman. She had the knack of saying the right things at the right time, almost as if she had known him in the past, which he realized was an impossibility; he would have remembered her, that much he was certain. However, he didn’t rule out the theory of her being a life force of some previous life form that much he could entertain. However determining that would be quite difficult, and so he simply let the thought go.

“I’m so glad you’re still in one piece,” Erlic stated with a grin. “Wouldn’t have been more fun if you weren’t.” He smiled a bit at the statement, and finally lowered his face to hers, kissing her on the lips. Although it was brief, he enjoyed the passing feeling, and quickly got to his feet. There were more important things to do at the moment, although he wouldn’t have minded postponing them for a brief moment.

He got to his feet, and helped the woman to her feet. Slowly they made their way back to the building, and Erlic carefully, and quickly took a quick glimpse through the doorway before ducking back. Since nothing happened, he decided to look a bit longer. There was absolutely nothing that he could see that posed a threat.

Together, and with shurikens in one hand, they entered the small building, and started to look around. At first there was nothing impressive about the place until Erlic spotted another doorway. He motions for Jade to stand away from the door. After inspecting for traps, and not finding any, he turned the doorknob, and stepped back. This time there was no flash of fire, however when the door opened, they found themselves staring into a very small library.

Erlic looked at Jade with raised eyebrows, and the two of them walked in. “Is there anything here that strikes your fancy?” Erlic asked as he gazed at the books.
