In reply to: Jeremy 's message, "Saras?" on 18:34:56 03/14/02 Thu

Saras was content and warm and sleepily oblivious to things once he’d retreated into himself. Although it was not his true essence, it was what he was made of, and the warmth and peace of being a little floating ball of fire made him forget why exactly he had retreated into himself like this. Although he couldn’t be sure, because it had never come up, Saras believed that this is what would happen should his human body be injured or weakened to a grumpy, tired state. Saras didn’t think about much while in this state, but it was just there, in the back of his mind.

"Saras? Can you hear me? Are you…….in that fire?"

Not many people would bother a little ball of fire, and in some part of Saras‘ mind, he was sure that it was a form of defence for him, if he was weakened or hurt. At least, he didn’t think anyone would. He had yet to test the theory… Saras didn’t think too much about it but he heard Jeremy’s voice. In his own way, he replied, in what would have been a bright, proud smile. The flames that had replaced his body brightened and changing from a light yellow to a bright one. Since Jeremy was his favourite among the group, he bobbed closer, and then darted up to eye-level, blinking cheerfully, although he thought it probably looked like he was just flickering. Saras couldn’t really tell, since he had no eyes, and was in fact simply a conscious ball of flame. A happy, flickering ball of flame, but that was it. He hoped he would remember to ask Jeremy later.

After a moment of flickering his contentement of being warm and dry at Jeremy, he went back to his human seeming body. Fully dressed, back in his default outfit of effeminate silks and ribbons. But, most importantly, he was dry and warm again. He brushed a curl out of his eyes and kicked the soaked clothes aside. He felt immensely better once he was clean and dry and warmed up. He smiled cheerfully at Jeremy and snuggled down into his fancy clothes, glad for their warmth. He would have to change later, but until his clothes dried, he had ever intention of snuggling into the fabrics of his encumber some clothes to stay warm, over having mobility.

"Now I don't look like a drowned rat." he said cheerfully.
