Jeremy was relieved to see Saras materialize from the flames. "That was pretty awesome even though it scared the shit out of me at first cause I forgot that you're a creature of fire and can't be harmed by it." He gave the genie a smile then hurried off to retrieve his clothes and backpack that he left near the hot spring.

"We better get some sleep now," he said, when he returned to the cookfire. Once the Jann pointed out the homes they had checked and considered safe, Jeremy grabbed the bottle of wine then beckoned Saras to follow him. They made their way inside one of the buildings and looked around. The large single room dwelling held two beds, a table and chairs, a fireplace, and a tall cabinet.

"Why don't you light a fire in the fireplace?" Jeremy suggested to Saras as he plopped down on one of the beds. After digging through his pack, he popped a sleeping pill in his mouth then set the bag on the floor next to the bed. Deciding it was warm enough to sleep in his underwear, he took a final sip of wine then crawled under the covers. "I'll see you in a couple of hours Saras," he said, closing his eyes and waiting for sleep to claim him.
