Marz handed the sucker back to Tristan before Jade pulled him away. Of course, the ex-gang leader's interest was really piqued now. All sorts of things went through his mind about her need to speak with him in private, but none of those thoughts had anything to do with a silly book! Marz simply stared at her as she rattled off a description of a tome she was searching for. Why did she have to tell him about this in private? Maybe the book contained dirty drawings or some other vulgar stuff that she felt embarrassed about. Well, it was fine with him if Jade had some kinky perversion for smutty books because he wouldn't mind reading a few himself.

He grinned when she kissed his cheek then hurried back to Tristan, pulling the sucker from his hand. "Hey, this tastes like an apple," he chirped after taking a few licks. When he spotted Rowan sitting near the campfire, he pulled Tristan toward the house he slept in last night. "Let's make sure we aren't leaving anything behind before we take off." It wasn’t that he didn't want to be by Rowan; he was just a little worried that the elf might mention the little escapade they shared.

Once they were in the house, Marz made a big production of looking around the place. "Is Rowan going with our group?" he asked, since he was off with Jade when the elf arrived at the campfire. When Tristan nodded he grew a little more alarmed. I hope that old elf can keep his mouth shut! Marz chuckled a moment later when he remembered how hot Rowan looked for an old man. Shrugging off such thoughts, he gently slid his arms around Tristan, taking care not to aggravate his shoulder wound. He moved in slowly, meeting his lover's lips in a sticky kiss. "You taste good," he murmured, before plopping the sucker back into his Tristan's mouth. "Well, it looks like we're about ready to leave. Let's grab one more mug of java and take a look at that map Ravin has so we can decide what temple each group is going to investigate."
