Corum followed the rest of the group until they came upon the doors of the temple. He watched as Tia threw some salt on the doors, and wondered about her actions, which were immediately explained. He didn’t know you could simply throw salt on a magically trapped door, but since you could, he would file it away for future reference.

They quickly entered the temple, and he had to laugh when Tia started mentioning about busting down the statue to haul away some of its valuables. That’s when the group split up, trying to find anything of interest, and that’s when Jeremy got roasted, well a little bit anyway, From the explanation Tia had given, seemed she had triggered a magical spell when she tried to remove one of the gems. So why hadn’t she used the salt like she did outside? He wasn’t sure, but here had to be a good reason.

He watched in amazement as a portion of the floor in the center of the room slid open. “All right,” he stated. “Now we’re getting somewhere.” Since the others were busy examining the other areas, he examined the hole in the ground, and wondered where it led. He simply shrugged his shoulders, and walked down the steps, happy that Yorik’s glowing eyes had managed to light up the area just a bit.

He was in a large square room, with a door on either side. On each opposite wall stood an alcove, each somehow lit up, and showing off some sort of tome. Not being that incredibly stupid, Corum decided it was best to continue further with his friends, so he made his way back up the stairs. He peeked his head out of the hold in the floor, and yelled at Marz. “Yo dude,” he stated. “There’s like a room down here, and a couple of books.”
