In reply to: Ravin 's message, "Can you try redial?" on 18:48:48 02/18/02 Mon

Erlic realized that Ravin was trying to weigh the differences of not having the communication he expected. The guild master knew all too well, that no matter where Dalo might be, or what he was doing, that leaving the mirror unattended was inexcusable. Deep down, Erlic knew that something had happened. What exactly he wasn’t aware of at the moment, but he knew it couldn’t be anything good. He could only hope, and wait, and possibly try Dalo a bit later.

He watched as Ravin showed his find of a ruby necklace, ring, and tiara. He had to agree with his friend that they would definitely bring about a good amount of money. Erlic looked at the vials that Ravin handed him, and even he couldn’t make out the runes. Perhaps, as Ravin had mentioned, Argus might know.

"I smell java brewing. Why don’t we go have a cup and then you can try to contact Dalo again?"

It sounded like a good idea, in fact it sounded like the only plausible idea as far as Erlic was concerned. He took a seat at the table, and wondered what had transpired. Tristan didn’t look too pleased, and for some reason Marz was absent. He pulled out the vials, and handed them to Argus. “Perhaps you can discern what the markings mean,” Erlic requested of the man. He was, after all, a cleric, and perhaps these writings might mean something to him.

Erlic thanked his friend for the java, and took a sip before pulling out the communication mirror with Dalo. This time there was an answer; unfortunately it wasn’t the one he had expected. Ravin, who was sitting next to Erlic, couldn’t help but notice the bloody face of Dalo through the communication device. Everyone at the table could hear the beast master’s words, as he vaguely stated that there had been a massive attack on the tavern, and many innocent people had died, and many more had been injured. It was secured for now, and they were attempting to clean up, and heal whoever could be healed. He finished by telling the guild master that Rooster was dead, and he’d have more news once he was in his right mind.

The communication ended, and Erlic simply stared at the mirror for a long time, not saying a word.
