Isobel gave Ravin a sultry smile as she bit into the apple he held to her lips. Then she licked the juice from the apple, sliding her tongue across the fruit until it almost touched his fingers before pulling back, chewing.

She saw the shiver that went down his spine and winked. Though it was tempting to try to entice him into a repeat performance of what had just transpired between them, she knew that they had to be getting ready. Besides... if he was able to perform again so quickly he must be a truly remarkable man indeed.

She took the apple he offered and accompanied him back to the fire, where they sat down. She picked up a fried snake from a bowl nearby and began to munch it before accepting the java Ravin offered her. "Gracias, Señor Ravin," she said with a grin as she sipped the hot liquid.

"In a couple of hours we should be on our way to the ruins of Twilight," he said to her. Then suddenly his eyes lost focus and he looked dazed. He began to sweat and he looked in considerable distress. "Ravin? Are you all right?" she put a hand lightly on his arm, concern written all over her face. When he didn't answer, she turned, looking for Valhorek. "Where is Doctór Valhorek? I think Ravin's wound is bothering him," she said.
