Subject: Answering Argus

Ravin was a little embarrassed by Isobel's teasing yet managed to chuckle when she told him how lucky he was to have had Laurel there to shield his naked body from the harsh sand. He went about scaling the fish, but found it rather difficult to concentrate on the task completely since his eyes kept shifting to Isobel's shapely thigh that Val was in the process of stitching. When he found himself wondering what it would feel like to have those lovely legs wrapped about his back, he shifted uncomfortably then forced his attention to the fish.

Once he finished, he passed them to Erlic who went about preparing them with an expertise that surprised Ravin. He never imagined that the guildmaster was such a good cook. Although he wasn't very hungry, he forced himself to eat. Hopefully, the food would help rid him of the weariness he felt and provide him with some much needed energy. They all had to stay relatively alert for any possible further attacks by more assassins or other denizens of the desert lands.

Ravin was about to suggest that they sleep in shifts until it was time to leave for the ruins of Twilight but was interrupted by Argus. It took a moment for the thief to realize that the man was asking about the assassins. He set his plate aside and reached for a mug of java, draining half the cup before he answered Argus' question.

"We inadvertently rescued a prince these assassins had locked up in their mountain headquarters. They've been trailing us ever since, trying to get the prince back." Ravin pointed out Alakbar, who sat off in the distance with Justin and the Jann. "We've been commissioned to find some branches for Queen Kazabet, who lives in a nearby city. According to the Queen's legend lore spell they can be found somewhere near the Sea of Salt where we recently learned that the ruins of an ancient city lie. Once we find the branches we can return to the Queen's palace. Hopefully, she can then teleport the prince to his rightful home in Medina al-Afyal.

Ravin took another sip of the java, his brow furrowing in thought when he remembered something Isobel had told him. "By any chance are you a spellcaster, Argus?" he asked. "And, if so, just how proficient are you with using magic?"
