Author: Isobel and Barry
Subject: Aftermath
In reply to: Erlic & Valhorek 's message, "Another attempt" on 20:28:51 01/15/02 Tue

Isobel stood by worriedly watching as Valhorek tended to Ravin. She felt mildly annoyed that he had simply assumed that she would not be able to hold Ravin still and had called for Erlic's assistance. But she knew that he was probably right, so she did not bark the harsh words that had come to her lips. But now she felt useless and stupid standing here fretting.

She waited for them to finish. Then as Valhorek examined Alakbar and Erlic left to speak with the Sheik, she knelt next to Ravin, brushing his hair off his face.

"I told you, Señor Ravin, that you would be fine," she smiled.

The genie suddenly swept into the tent, practically knocking her aside as he knelt and grabbed Ravin's hand. "Clumsy oaf!" Isobel muttered and stood up, brushing her pantalones off. She glared at the genie. He had brought a week's worth of food and had laid it out next to himself as if he expected to camp there in the tent next to Ravin. Isobel shook her head. She did not know why she felt so annoyed, but she did.

Erlic returned to the tent and announced that they would be leaving sometime after midnight. She nodded. "Gracias, Frio. Perhaps I should try to sleep a bit more before then." She moved to her own pillow-bed, laying out on it and looking tiredly over at Erlic. She smiled at him as he looked over at her. "Perhaps sometime you could teach me how to sleep without sleeping?" she said, before closing her eyes.

Barry nearly cackled at the sight of the genie running to hide behind Jeremy. “I am most certainly NOT a guy little disembodied skull-thing!” the berk said. “I am, simply, Perfect.”

"Yeah, sure... whatever keeps ya goin'," Barry said. "And I'm not a disembodied skull, I'm a bone-demon." He snorted.

Barry watched in amusement as Tristan ripped Saras for claiming to be perfect, then apologized and hurried off to a tent where presumably Marz was waiting... unless Marz preferred Yorika these days. The thought was so funny that Barry cackled loudly, nearly tumbling in the air.

He headed off to find that Jann beauty then zipped over at the sound of shouting in time to see Isobel kill the assassin. "That's a harsh way to deal with coitus interruptus!" he had muttered, then followed Isobel back into the tent.

He quietly floated near the top of the tent as he watched the healer and Erlic taking care of Ravin. Then the weird mangirl came in and set up camp at Ravin's side, shoving Isobel aside. Barry just bet she didn't like that one bit and was surprised she didn't bite the eunuch's head off.

Barry decided he'd better go find the addle-cove in case the berk got himself into trouble. There seemed to be more than enough of that around here. So he floated off in search of Corum.
