Isobel listened to Alakbar babble, her eyes narrowed to slits and her hand gripping the hilt of her sword tightly. As he said something in what she assumed was Neromban and ran off to Valhorek she watched him thoughtfully. That was most odd... she thought.

She jumped slightly when Ravin handed her a new cup of java, but when she saw who it was she smiled and accepted the hot beverage. "Thank you, Seņor Ravin. It was a most trying night."

Ravin had apparently noted the source of her unease, because he said, "I think the youth is safe. Sometimes I'm able to sense things about people and so far I haven't picked up any malicious intent from Alakbar. But, if it will make you feel better, I'll keep a close watch on him."

She nodded slowly but never took her eyes from Ravin's as she said quietly, "But Seņor Ravin... there is something very odd about him. He commented on my thought that he might be a plant... of course I meant a spy and he is now pretending to think I meant a piece of vegetation. But that is not the strange thing." She looked around to make sure Alakbar and any of the natives were out of earshot.

"Seņor Ravin... I did not actually speak to him... I merely thought that he might be a plant."

Barry was floating around Tia cussing softly under his breath. "Dames! Just because I got no body does that make me less human? Okay so it does but I have needs too!!" He eyed Tia... heyyyy now that chit couldn't see too good... maybe he could fool her and... he stopped, shaking himself in the air. What was he thinking? All these fleshies with their pheromones flying everywhere must be getting to him.

He floated up next to Tia's ear. "Hey hotcakes. How they shakin'?" he leered. So he was pathetic. But it beat talking to Yorik all day.
