Now that the skull didn’t pose a threat, Erlic returned to Isobel who had quickly started to eat food, from Ravin’s suggestion. It was quite evident that the young woman hadn’t enjoyed a decent meal in quite sometime. Combined with the struggles she had faced earlier with the sand worms, it was even more apparent that the woman had made it out barely alive. This was an attribute that was appealing to the assassin since it demonstrated an individual’s ability to survive, and Isobel had survived quite well.

Erlic turned his attention back to the conversation between Ravin, and Isobel. It was easy for the thief to hear, as well as read their lips as Isobel spoke about the benefits of having the skull in their party. Her thoughts on the issue once again demonstrated her knowledge of traveling the lands, and the ability to always watch out for danger.

“That is a very good idea,” Erlic stated to Isobel once both she, and Ravin had stopped speaking. “Employing someone for that reason alone would have beneficial causes to our survival. Very well done.”

Erlic paused a moment, and decided to ask further questions of the woman. “You seem to have me at a disadvantage,” the assassin stated. “Your vocabulary uses words that are somewhat foreign, at least to me. Perhaps you could enlighten us as to their origins.”

Erlic still didn’t trust Isobel, and she had, for the most part, agreed to join the group. For a while, at least until she had gained his trust, he would keep an eye on her, and see just exactly how well she fought.

Corum had been listening to the skull, and wondering why he was here to begin with. Tristan, who always seemed to demonstrate self-control, suddenly opened up, and demanded an answer from the thing. Once again, Corum was impressed with Tristan’s get up, and speak your mind attitude. He could tell he was hanging around Marz, for that was something Marz would have done.

Corum had turned his head briefly, and spotted Tia sticking some napkins down her bodice, looked around, and then quickly removed them throwing them at Rowan for some unknown reason. He wondered if she had possibly spilt something while eating that she had to clean herself up. It seemed like a strange place to loose food, but Tia must have known what she was doing, or she wouldn’t have done it, right???? Right!

He smiled at the elf that seemed a bit upset for some reason. Thinking it was better not to say anything, or was it better to say something? He liked Tia but didn’t want to get on her bad side, especially since they had become close friends. For some reason Tia had stared at the skull, and was a bit upset as she stood, and voiced her opinion. Well, that was quite obvious. Corum knew she was a woman, so why bother even saying it? What had the skull done that had upset her so much? He still didn’t know, but at least she seemed in a much better mood.

Corum was about to say something when he felt himself being just slightly pushed in the direction of Barry. He quickly turned, and found nothing there. Well, what was going on? He quickly turned to face Marz, but Marz was doing something else. Once again he was about to speak, and felt himself lean forward a bit in the direction of Barry. This was absolutely nuts.

“Yo Barry,” Corum stated drawing the skull’s attention. “I’m Corum, and this here is Yorik. You obviously already know Tia cause she already introduced herself. The guy with the blond hair, and pointed ears is Rowan, and that’s his sister Laurel. This here is Marz,” pointing to his friend, “and if you’re not careful he’ll kick your arse. The guy next to him is Tristan. The other blonde haired guy is Val. That’s Ravin, and Erlic over there, with our other newcomer Isobel. The word dude is Jeremy. He’s like from some other place that talks about as funny as you do. Justin’s the big guy over there.” Corum rolled his eyes trying to explain to the skull with his facial features, that Justin was simply creepy, and smelled really bad. Corum rounded out the introductions with Sarra, Neramii, and Kandarin.

“So like,” Corum asked. “Now that you’re here, what do you plan on doing? I mean some guy buried you, and you’ve gotta find a tug, whatever that is.”

Corum turned to Tia, and winked at her wondering all the while why he felt like he was going to fall, and yet realized he was still standing straight. Maybe this Barry guy was a mage in disguise, and was trying to kidnap Yorik! Yeah, that had to be it, and, he was trying to get to Yorik via Corum. Naw, but for some reason Corum felt drawn to the skull. Maybe it was because he had studied skulls with his mentor, and knew everything there was to know about skulls. That sounded good, at least he thought so.
