• I saw an interview with two of the people in this group,a married couple. They said they thought that since the group was comprised mostly of black people that was the reason they were treated so abysmally. (spell check?) • Two things here jumped out at me. I have been saying from the beginning that this disaster reminded of how it must have been after the Civil War when the people were burned out and starving. The slaves were freed but they had nowhere to go and no food or shelter. I also wondered how people could hold onto their faith when such a senseless disaster had swept down on innocent people.   • I have so many questions and have such trouble understanding this: Last year, swing-state Florida was hit my multiple hurricanes. Each time, the Bush admin was on top of it with bells on - they had rescue, relief and BIG money on hand to apply immediately to the crises. Bush had FEMA running like it almost should (although Brownie gave $30 million to a community for storm relief that had no damage, he was/is under investigation for that one) ... but HOW could they react like a government should, by protecting and saving the people LAST year, but not last week? We all now know there were tons of warnings, models, expectations of this outcome.
