Subject: I loved it!!! Much much better than the previous episode!

And I want more scenes at the Holmes family house.

I loved the twist about Magnussen's spectacles or rather about his mind palace.

His terminator-like way of presenting problems and finding pressure point was a nice touch, and a great variation on Sherlock's usual scannings and clue-collecting!

The Chekhov perfume and finally the actual Chekhov gun were pretty obvious clues but figuring things out before the reveals (Mary being the one in Magnussen's office, and later Sherlock using John's gun to kill Magnussen) didn't ruin my fun at all.

And Sherlock's true self-sacrificing to protect John, totally made up for his faking his death last year.

Also Mycroft seeing his little brother as a little boy who did something stupid, perfect! Magnussen was so right about both Mycroft's and Sherlock's weaknesses.

The episode showed so well how much Sherlock cared for John but also the way the brother Holmes see one another.

"He's never wrong" was so well acted and delivered by Cumberbatch!

So John's bride was played by Martin Freeman's real wife, Sherlock's parents were played by Benedict Cumbertbatch's parents...and now young Sherlock was played by Moffat's own son!

Whose dog was cast as Redbeard?

At least someone out in Cyberland made that speculation.
