Subject: So is FRINGE saying 'god is dead?'

The only thing wrong with this episode was that i could have gone on for that hour and a half or two hours.

Simiply put I like the ep because it makes me think. On three points....

First, because the entire season or the entirety of the first three seasons came to have meaning for me 4 days ago when I realized that the First People were a future us/Walter, etc. It was the only way one could logically explain things was with something of a paradox. And tonight that was given credence by Walter.

Second, the ending encourages even more thought. We had one "Do loop" going, the paradox that Walter had sent the machine back in time to be discovered (evidently a machine that Bell had designed and built). But now we have something new, Peter's decision to fuse a bridge (the machine room) between universes (as I believe he also fused the machines - he was phasing into the Red!verse machine as it happened) so that they may work in unison to protect and save each universe. The question is, is Peter's decision one that is fully nested within Walter's Do-loop. If it is, then the universes both eventually are destroyed - but it need not be that way. The machine may still get sent back in time but the universe need not be destroyed after it is sent back. So then Peter's gambit is most likely not nested at all. Which is to say Peter's gambit is the answer to Walter's Do-loop that spits one out of Walter's paradox. Or at least it can be the answer, as long as Walter and Walternate can work together.

Third, another paradox that must be understood. How can something that is necessary/served a purpose - that is, Peter, have never existed. Isn't that the ontological argument for a god, a necessary cause, thus it must exist? It is as if they are saying god is dead. And it sure makes one think...

given that Joshua Jackson is still under contact for a fourth season!

BTW I'm glad that the First Peaple thing didn't turn to be some bullshit but I'm concerned about the upcoming season and the way they're going to work out of the time travel paradox. J. J Abrams are never been very good at handly time travel...

Maybe they should learn from Doctor Who.

Now I'm wondering if Olivia is going to make up Peter back by remembering him.

It could be he comes back as someone other than Peter.
