"You got a weapon, right?" asked Liam.
"Um, no," DBVG Amanda replied.
I hate doing this, thought Liam. And physically, I doubt that she's as powerful as other Sayins. Hmm. He reached into the pocket of his jeans and pulled out a red jewel. He clutched as it began to glow. The light from the gem spread throughout his arm and gave itself shape. When the light faded, a katana formed in his left hand. He grabed the weapon by the blade and passed it to his opponent. He then repeated the process so that another katana was formed. This one was unsheathed. The blade of his sword, uncharacteristically straight, had several runic carvings at the base.
"Sigh. Look, I'm not one to tell you what to do," Liam said, "but death isn't exactly the nicest experence in the world. I know. I died twice. It's scary. You can't hear or smell anything. It's dark, and all around you, you can feel the anger and sadness and insanity of the other souls. Not happy at all."
"But..."
"I know. If I lost Rose, or Iggy... I'm not sure what I'd do. But, the longer you live, the better chance you have of finding something worth livin' for. But, if you really wanna die, come at me." He shifted into a fighting stance. I just know I'm gonna hate myself for this later...
