Type in to a google search engine the two terms you list and you will find info that may help (or at least understand why it's not in your DD214)

"This issue was finally settled on 16 November 1961 when President Kennedy formally announced the U.S. decision to aid the Government of Vietnam - short of introducing U.S. combat forces. The position that U.S. combat forces were not involved in the war was to be maintained for the ensuing two years (until 31 December 1963)."

Buddy leters help greatly as proof if you can find someone else who was there (type in a search engine what company you were in and dates in country, there are a lot of sites put up by vets that served during different times.

Hope this helps if not contact your state senator(s) and ask them to help straighten out the problem. There is also a site that breaks down the codes, numbers, and abbreviations (different by branch of service) a lot of things on a DD214 are coded.
