had prostate removed jan 2010 because urologist said cancer was aggressive
psa level went to almost zero for 6 months then started to rise again
filed a claim with VA and was awarded compensation
had 40 days of radiation, psa went to almost zero again
VA wrote me a letter saying they wanted to reduce my compensation because my psa level was at zero
only problem is , it doesnt stay at zero
6 months after radiation psa level went up again
im now on hormone shots and take a pill every day
i was told by urologist i would need hormone shot every 6 months
hormore shot also lowered my psa to zero
i lost an organ [prostate]
i lost some control over bladder, have to wear a pad
sex is gone forever
and VA wants to lower my compensation based on psa levels that go to zero after trying different procedures
but so far psa level never stays at zero
i even talked to someone from CANCER OF AMERICA in Philadelphia,Pa
they told me they arent excepting patients on medicare that live more then 15 miles from Philadelphia
i told them i guess im out of luck because of where i live
