Just don't include it on the app. I did that at the job previous to what I have now, and it worked. Once I was offered a position I had to do the ole "oh, by the way" I was truthful on the dialysis app., but I knew going in that dialysis is a recovery friendly community. I know it's nerve racking, frustrating, scary and all sorts of other things, but fibbing can be to your advantage to get you in the door to the interview. In your case you have an advantage because many of those questions ask "have you ever been convicted of a felony?" You can honestly answer no. Another common question is have you been convicted of a crime involving patient care or injury etc. and you can honestly answer no there too. I'm not sure what your past is, but from what I know, your not in such a bad place for employment. I know all states are different, but a misdemeanor shouldn't prevent you from employment I wouldn't think. I'm in Indiana, and I know from being on this board that I'm in a much more forgiving state than many here are. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
