start requiring a debit sheet? I missed your OP, but had to say something. I don't think that he needed a "credit", they are his children, if he overpaid...OH WELL! I guess I just don't get the "well, I paid to much 6 months ago, so I guess they don't need anything now" mentality. I also get really upset by NCP's who feel that child support is just another expense! (not that your ex feels that way, just that that kind of parent offends me on so many levels).

To answer you original question though, if he could pay CS off over time it would seem fair to me that he pay a little less until his "credit" was used.
