Subject: College newspaper ad asking for egg donors (m)

In our Sunday newspaper, there was an article about a local college newspaper with advertising asking for egg donors. It went on to talk about one girl who decided to do this in order to get $5,000 to pay off her credit card debt.

The article mentioned that many colleges don't do this (advertise) because of ethical reasons. It mentioned another college that refused to do it - because they won't run ads for body parts - BUT, they did advertise for sperm donors (go figure).

Anyway....thoughts? Ethical? Moral? How would you feel if your dd wanted to donate her eggs? The article also mentioned one woman who was involved in the advertising, thought is was a wonderful idea to help couples who want a child, but.....didn't want her own dd to participate?! She didn't like the idea of one of her offspring running around.
