I agree that in most cases your scenario is the situation. Yep. But in this one, nope. I'm not jumping to any conclusions. Here's a recent (and often repeated conversation) with his teacher.

Teacher - "Watch [ds] for strep. Mrs. X told me yesterday at pick up - after I told her dsX wasn't feeling well - Oh, I know... the whole family tested positive for strep last night... guess I should have kept him home".

If it was 'just' some anonomous cold/person/whatever going on... I would wholeheartedly agree. But it's gone beyond that. The principal of our small campus (182 kids) has sent letters home, notes home, made phone calls to everyone, met people at the doors to send their kids home, etc. This strain of strep is ONLY detectable by the long culture... not the quick strep... yet people aren't doing it for WHATEVER reason.

So please, when I say I *know*... I *know*.
