An update on my marital crisis .. if anyone is worried/interested.

Things are improving a little. We're still headed towards a divorce; I'm filing next week for a Legal Separation. But, I was granted a leave of absence from my job for the summer. So, I"m going to be able to take the kids and go visit grandma and grandpa for a few (2? 8? 12?) weeks adn clear my head. Then I'll come back to AZ around when school starts adn get settle in a new house, etc.

This way, the kids will be near dad, so he can have ample involvement in their lives. They won't change schools, they won't be wihout their friends, and I'll keep my job. Adn I'll get the family support I need in the interim. If, after a year or two, I'm still significantly unhappy here, we might move back. But I *think* I can be okay here.

STBXH isn't fighting any of this. We're gonna go for a "marital separation agreement" which we do ourselves and sign instead of letting the courts/lawyers fight it out. I'll have a lawyer representing me, and he's just gonna have a lawyer review his stuff to make sure I'm not screwing him.

So, I"m in a little better sprits today. Am actually eating something for the first time in DAYS. And, although my marriage is over, my life isn't and things will be fine. It will take a while to heal, obviously, but now that I have a goal to work toward, I think I can handle it.

Anyhoo ... off to eat my fish and chips now.
