First of all, exactly how far does your mother think this *competitive dancing* is going to take your sisters? Last time I checked it wasnt an Olympic event, was it?

2 thoughts immediately came to mind from your post. One being that I'd bet dollars to donuts that part of the reason your sisters arent doing so great in school is because all of their time is spent on dance. I am all for extra-curricular activities, but in our house academics come first and if the grades are not good the *extras* are the first to go. My other thought is how much of this is dedication on the part of your mother vs living vicariously through one's children.

If you already know what dance is going to entail, my question to you would be WHY on earth are you even considering putting your own kids in it?
