Subject: I am not sure it is a good idea at all

I know it seems like a nice gesture to give, but not sure if it is really appropriate for several reasons. I know it seems like a nice gesture, but there could be problems. the first reason is what about other soldiers who have fared worse. If it was a guy would they have done it or is it because this pow happened to be a sweet young girl/woman? How many of you would take the trip and feel good about it, knowing that your fellow soldiers have died, or suffered similar or worse injuries, or some of them are pow. Does jessica lynch really want to be singled out as being so brave that she deserves special treatment? Personally I would rather they take the money for a trip and put it into a fund for returning marines or scholarships for the children of fallen soldiers. But then that is me.
